Brief History of Herbal Medicine:

Plant-based medicine was the foundation of clinical practice until the 19th century, when pharmaceutical chemistry isolated and synthesized active constituents from herbs—many of which remain the basis of modern drugs today. For thousands of years, people have understood and used the wisdom of plants for their healing constituents. While there is value in so many different healthcare modalities, I find the use of herbal medicine a non-invasive way to gently address the body’s natural propensity toward balance and overall health.
